Resident Evil Veronica is a remake of 2000's Resident Evil Code: Veronica. Capcom describes it as a reimagining with modernized gameplay and more detailed graphics.

On August 4, 2026, the official Resident Evil account reported that Resident Evil Veronica had reached two million wishlists. This is an interest milestone, not a sales figure or preorder count.
Producer interviews describe the remake as a third-person game and say members of the Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 4 remake teams are involved. PlayStation Blog also reports that parts of the story are being adjusted to fit the wider series lore.
