Capcom has announced Resident Evil Veronica for 2027. Official sources identify it as a remake of 2000's Resident Evil Code: Veronica, developed with a reimagined story, modernized gameplay and detailed graphics.

The confirmed platforms are PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC. Official Steam, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo store pages are now live, while Steam still lists the planned release year as 2027 and PC system requirements as TBD.

Capcom reported that Resident Evil Veronica passed one million combined wishlists across PS5 and PC shortly after its announcement. This is an interest milestone, not a sales figure or preorder count.

A June 2026 producer interview and media Q&A added reported development context: the remake is described as third-person, the shortened Veronica title is meant to communicate main-series importance, and the team includes developers from the Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 4 remakes.

This site separates official facts from reported context and unknown details. Release date, preorder timing, demo availability, editions, PC requirements and new media are updated only when Capcom, Steam or another official platform source changes.

The practical reading today is simple: the game is real, the release year is official, the platform set is official, and PC store presence is real. The exact launch day, price, edition lineup, demo plan, physical packaging and final PC hardware target are still not public.

That distinction matters because Resident Evil announcements often create placeholder pages, retailer assumptions and trailer-frame speculation before the publisher gives complete product details. Veronica Hub keeps those categories separate so readers can decide what is safe to repeat and what still needs a primary source.

For returning Code: Veronica players, the strongest confirmed value is not a frame-by-frame remake map yet. It is the official positioning: Capcom is bringing the Rockfort Island story back as a modern remake and treating the Veronica chapter as important enough to sit beside the recent mainline remake cycle.

For new players, this page works as a starting dossier. Use Release Date for timing, Platforms for hardware choices, PC Requirements for upgrade caution, Story for spoiler-light context, Original vs Remake for comparison, and Sources when you want to inspect the underlying records yourself.
